Take the required college entrance examination
(ACT/SAT/THEA) and have the score report sent to the
school(s) by the testing program.

Complete the appropriate application:

For Texas public universities students complete
the Freshman Common Application which is
available in the Counselor′s
office or on the Internet at
http://www.applytexas.org

For Texas Private/Independent colleges and
universities, go online at
http://www.texasmentor.org
to complete an application.

For all other schools including junior
colleges/community colleges and out-of-state
schools, students can access applications on any
school′s website or write the office of
admissions for an application.

Arrange to have your transcript sent to the schools.
You must request the transcript in the Counselor′s
office by completing the request form at least 24
hours before needed.

Apply for housing by completing an application
obtained from the Director of Housing at the school.
Remember housing procedures and deadlines vary from
school to school.

Start the Financial Process by completing the FAFSA
(see website page on Financial Aid or visit the
Counselor′s office).
|

Notify the school you will attend and the schools
you will not attend by posted deadline.
|

Arrange with the Counselor to have a final
transcript sent after graduation.
